Can GPT play a game of induction? Let's find out!
This unique version of Eleusis Express involves a game of induction where a user sets a secret rule, and the AI, taking roles as the Dealer and Player, navigates the game based on this rule. The challenge lies in guessing the secret rule through strategic card play.
Original ruleset is here: Eleusis Express
How It Works
Roles
- Dealer: Manages the deck, tracks the game state, and validates moves without participating in the game.
- Player: An AI trying to deduce the secret rule by playing cards.
- User: You. Come up with a secret rule and observe the game.
Gameplay
Secret Rule
The secret rule is a logical rule that determines whether a card can follow another card already on the table.
For example, the rule could be "The next card must be a red card", or "The next card must be a card with a value greater than 5".
There is only one player with 12 cards on hand, so amount of evidence it can gather is limited. Go easy on the AI.
Scoring System
- Starting Score: 0 points.
- -10 points for a rejected card, +200 for a successful guess.
- Failed guesses result in a -200 point penalty.
Game Flow
The game alternates between Dealer, User, and Player, with the generation ending when roles change. The Player can only guess once, and the game ends either with a correct guess or when the Player runs out of cards and must guess.
Interface and User Interaction
User interactions are limited to predefined shortcuts.
The modified Eleusis Express game offers a challenging and engaging AI-driven experience, where strategic thinking and rule deduction are key to success.
